Agreements and renewals
The agreement says what was approved. The renewal starts on time.
Revenue is decided twice: when the agreement is signed and when it is renewed. rivonOS runs both on the same record as the quote, so the terms you approved are the terms you bill, and the renewal starts six months out.

“Was the escalation 8% or 6%? Let me find the signed copy.”
The quote was approved in one place, the agreement was drafted in Word, and the signed PDF is in someone's inbox. By the time the renewal comes round, the person who negotiated it may have left.
- The agreement quietly differs from the approved quote, and nobody compares them.
- Escalation dates are in the agreement, not in the billing schedule.
- Renewals are noticed when the client gives notice.
- Move-outs inside the lock-in are agreed without anyone checking what is owed.
What a missed term costs
A renewal noticed late is renegotiated from weakness. An escalation that never reaches the invoice is simply lost.
₹25.11L
a year, if Northstar's 8% escalation on 1 January 2028 is missed.
(₹11,772 − ₹10,900) × 240 seats × 12 months = ₹25.11L, before GST.
₹4.03L
a year, if the Kharadi Annexe agreement renews at today's rate instead of today's centre price.
(₹12,600 − ₹11,900) × 48 seats × 12 months = ₹4.03L.

From accepted quote to the next renewal
Accepted quote
Northstar accepts QT-2026-0418. The agreement is drafted from it, not retyped.Deviation check
rivonOS compares the agreement with the approved quote, term by term. Anything different goes back for approval.Signed version
AGR-ALT-0412 is signed and recorded. The signed version cannot be edited; later changes are amendments.Signed 19 Oct 2026
Obligations
Commencement, both escalations, the notice window and expiry become dated obligations with reminders.Renewal
Renewals open 180, 90, 60 and 30 days before expiry, with risk reasons and the next action.Expansion
Northstar asks for 80 more seats. The new opportunity starts with the full history of the account.
| Term | Approved quote | Agreement |
|---|---|---|
| Price per seat | ₹10,900 | ₹10,900 |
| Seats | 240 | 240 |
| Term | 36 months | 36 months |
| Lock-in | 24 months | 24 months |
| Notice | 90 days | 90 days |
| Escalation | 8% a year | 8% a year |
| Security deposit | 3 months | 3 months |
If any term differs, the agreement goes back for approval before it can be signed.
